Hi, I’m Ian!
It’s nice to meet you.
Introduction
Welcome to my website! Here on this homepage, you’ll find information on my professional history, a look into what I’m interested in outside of work, and a list of skills and certifications that I’m looking forward to applying to a full time position at the right company.
A little about me: I’m from Portland, Oregon and graduated from Western Washington University in June of 2020. I am now the proud owner of a shiny degree in Business Administration with a Marketing Concentration and a Minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In my spare time, I enjoy hitting the gym, getting out into nature, and chilling out with a good board game. I’m also pretty serious about ping pong, so if you’re looking to lose, send me a message.
Me as a Professional

During my final quarter of college, I started as a Marketing Specialist for Hawthorn Farm Athletic Club in Hillsboro, Oregon. I’m proud of the work I was able to get done, and nothing tested my ability to adapt and be flexible like the impact of a pandemic on the health club industry. I contributed to several different projects, such as a brand book for corporate use and our social media content strategy, delivering value to members even when we weren’t able to have them in the club in person.

Since becoming a Camp Counselor the summer I turned 15, I’ve always sought out opportunities that allow me to engage my skills, learn, and have a bit of fun at the same time. In October of last year, I started a side project of owning an escape room in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Not only has this been an awesome opportunity to exercise the business and marketing muscles I grew in college, but it’s been a blast along the way. To shamelessly plug my business: check out my website when you’re planning your next trip to the coast!

I’ve also started a blog about marketing topics. Check in weekly for a new article on anything from digital marketing to industry trends. If you have any topics in mind that you think are cool, send me a message and I’ll see what I can learn!
Me as a Person

Outside of work, I absolutely love team sports. Whether it’s soccer, basketball, or volleyball, I’m there if you need an extra player. My favorite sport, though? Definitely dodgeball.
I’m also an avid gym-goer. Since getting consistent about it a couple years ago, I’ve become obsessed with setting goals in the weight room and figuring out how to reach them, learning what I need to do to get there. That’s part of the reason I got my NASM Personal Training certification: to train myself.
